Moving Crates & Equipment

Taking care of our crates ensures a smooth moving experience for everyone. This policy outlines what happens in case of crate damage or loss during your rental period.

Preventing Replacement Fees

 

Inspect at handover: 

When we handover your crates, take a moment to inspect them for any existing damage and note it on the rental document.

Load Carefully: 

Avoid overloading crates and distribute weight evenly to prevent strain on the structure and improve stability.

Secure Your Load: 

Use straps or tie-downs to keep items from shifting during transport, which can cause damage to the crate.

Keeping Our Crates in Top Shape

We take pride in providing clean, high-quality crates for your move.  We kindly ask you to treat them with care during your rental.

Minor Wear and Tear

We understand that normal use can cause slight scuffs or marks.  You won't be charged for minor wear and tear that doesn't affect the functionality of the crate.

Replacing Lost or Damaged Crates

Lost Crates: If a crate is lost during your rental, you will be responsible for the full replacement cost.

Damaged Crates: In the unlikely event of damaged crates beyond reasonable wear and tear, you may be responsible for a replacement fee.

Our Polypropylene crates have high tensile strength and impact resistance but still have a limit as to degree of damage they can take.  Here are some examples of damage that would warrant a replacement fee:

  • Cracks or holes that compromise the crate's strength or ability to close securely.
  • Broken lids.
  • Excessive dirt, grime, or hazardous materials that cannot be cleaned.
